Welcome to the twelfth issue of CEE News!
Many of the leaders I talk to are learners like me. We enjoy reading books, going to conferences, and filling our leadership toolkit with the latest in leadership and organizational development theories.
We get so excited about what we learn, that it’s tempting to try to implement our new discoveries at work. But if we’re not careful, the practice of management-by-book-of-the-month-club can backfire.

Welcome to the eleventh issue of CEE News!
I know I’m not alone in feeling that life speeds up as we age. It’s a thing, right?
It’s already halfway through the year. Pumpkin pie and jingle bells cannot be far behind.
While we can’t stop time from passing, we can create a plan to make sure we don’t get caught short at year end.

Welcome to the tenth issue of CEE News!
Believe it or not, one in three people don’t trust their employer. That’s according to the 2016 Edelman Trust Barometer. What’s more, only about half believe their employer is open and upfront with them.
One of the major underlying causes of this trust gap is a lack of transparency in the workplace. Consider these three examples of companies that are trying to close the trust gap through workplace transparency practices.

Welcome to the ninth issue of CEE News!
If I were to walk into your company today, where would I find your corporate values? Are they tucked in a bookshelf next to the Employee Handbook? Are they under the protective custody of HR? Are they engraved in plaques on the wall?
Regardless of where your values are documented, filed, or engraved, they are little more than empty platitudes if your leaders are not modeling them through their daily behaviors.

Just 50 years ago, long distance phone lines were so scarce that some international companies hired squads of “dialers”. Their only job was to dial the phone all day in hopes of getting an open line so that headquarters could talk to someone in a satellite office.
